About Ms. Beam
Thank you for visiting my page! This is my sixteenth year as an Oakwood Bluejay! I completed my student teaching at Oakwood with Mrs. Barger in second grade when I was a senior at Lenoir-Rhyne University! After graduating, I accepted a fifth grade position and taught there for five years alongside Mrs. Redfearn. I made the exciting move to second grade ten years ago. My mentors, Lynn Barger and Tommie Redfearn, have truly shaped me into the teacher I am today. I am blessed by their influence. 

I  love teaching second grade! Second graders have an intense curiosity coupled with an innocent humor that is so special. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have!
